The First of the Annointed

" For so many years I had nothing. All I hoped for was a chance to make something of myself. I was lost and could not find my way. I resorted to violence, chaos, and drugs to keep myself busy. For as long as I could remember, I had been used and abused. My talents, my "silver tongue," were all I was needed for. It was total hell, and I had been planted into the middle of it.

I developed Insomnia at a very young age. It was horrific, and tiring, but I dealt with it as best as I could. I would go for days, even a week or two, without sleep. During these times I would have these....visions, if you will. I could see this person, myself, standing there in the shadows smiling. Swarming around myself I could see locusts, millions of them everywhere. But they were not hurting my. Quite the contrary actually, they were supporting me.

I knew at that moment, that I had found the power to help myself, within myself. I was the key decider in my life. I had all the power I needed. All I had to do is look within myself, and know how strong I was.

It was shortly after that that I knew that my brains were going to take me places, many places. It was then that I based my life on knowledge. I knew that learning was the best way to succeed.

so, I came up with this to keep me going:

I am nothing without my knowledge
My knowledge is nothing without me
I am alone without my thoughts
My thoughts help me be me
blend it all together
I am The Lokust
The lokust is me...

And there you have it. I am The Lokust. The Lokust is me.

The Lokust Stories: Pt 1

The Lokust has effected many people. In both good and bad ways. This faith, and even sense of purpose comes with a terrible price, an open mind.

In the next few sections, will be writings of the 7 "Annointed ones."

Each story will tell a different side of The Lokust....

The Sparrow's Code

Everyone who has put faith into The Order should know that Sparrow's are the polar opposite of Lokust's. This Blog is mainly to show the point of view of The Lokust. In order to fully undertsand how a Lokust operates, you must gain all possible insight about Sparrow's. In doing this, you will truly show what defines each sect, and how they differ. So, without further ado, The Sparrow's Code

In the Beginning, The Sparrow was first. It is not proven, but if each and every Sparrow looks deep inside themselves, they will find the answer. The Sparrow is a Symbol of all of the positive in life. The material possessions we own, the friendships we forge, the things thats make us, and others around us, feel good. Our code will be different, we will not list the things we already know. We will remember them, and translate and fashion them into our own.

As a Sparrow, our material possessions complete us, and we value them, ever so highly. They help us define who we are and why we are here. They show us the things we have accomplished, and what we will continue to gain. They are our life.

An opinion towards a Sparrow isn't to be taken lightly. Any judgement passed towards us is to be held in the highest regards. The opinions from others also help define us, and help seal away and Lokust-like habits. We must be judged daily for the material, not the spiratual, and by doing so, creating a world where Sparrows have free reign, and Lokusts are sheltered from their knowledge.

We have no theories. If there is something bigger than us, we must ignore it. Thinking too much will change us, and change is not good. Thoughts are dangerous, and would be better off being locked away for all time.

We are happy, proud, and kind, to all but The Lokust's. That is our decree. That is our life.

The Lokust Code

No matter where you go there are rules. In life, In religion, In your own self respect. That being said, there is a code of honor which all Lokusts believe and follow. Even the most open of religions needs a base to support itself.

The Lokust Code is more like a list of ethics. Its up to you to decide how to follow them. But, all Lokusts must take into account two things: personal values, and the laws of the time. Just because a Lokust believes something is right or wrong, it doesn't mean that the rules of the era don't apply to him/her. With that being said, here is The Lokust Code:

"Knowledge is power, if I am to learn from an experience, then it has had meaning. Loyalty to friends is key. In the end, they are who will help you the most. Life is one big game, it is meant to be taken seriously, and should be mastered at all costs. Do not let your emotions rule you, Life may be a game, but it is not easy, and should not be taken lightly. Know thine enemy. Do not rush into battle without proper knowledge of what you are up against. Know thine self. You can not win if you don't know who you are, and why you are here. False Idol Gods are dangerous and should not be tempted. In this cruel world, there will be many who claim to be superior. We can not prove that they are, nor can we disprove it. Finally, beware of whats inside your head. Your Brain is key in life, but, it should be treated as a deadly weapon, and handled with caution."

To a Lokust, life isn't fun. it has its perks, but life is dangerous. So is the human mind. You would think a cult that worships thy self and the mind and all its knowledge, would be careless with this. They are not. The mind is a Tool and a Weapon, it must be fashioned to fit the user. And like any craft, it must be mastered. sayeth the words of The Lokust.

The Journey of The Lokust

In the beginning, there was something. Not nothing, or a dark mass of dust and minerals. But, a Conscienceness. It wasn't named. It couldn't be categorized. It simply, existed. It could have been all-knowing. It could have created life as we know it. But, we don't. We may never know how we originated in this universe, even when we die, our questions may not be answered. So, the journey of The Lokust starts with the human mind. The brain is extremely powerful, so powerful, that its raw power must be locked away by limitations. This is where the so-called "origins" begin.

If there is good, there must be evil. that is the natural order. ying and yang. light and dark. These limitations are here, though they are only interpreted by the minds who use them. If you believe this theory, then everything you've ever learned could be wrong. But you don't know, so you follow what society tells you to. And in the end, tragedy happens, happiness occurs, and death is inevitable. This is where the story starts, in the unknown, the dark, in shadows. The fight between The Lokust, and The Sparrow.

At the start of time, all is/was lost. There are no records, nothing but what one person wrote in a supposed "good book" But, there was good and evil. Which brings us to the physical manefestations of both. In each time period, the representation of both changes, one becomes good, while the other becomes evil. When knowledge and theory were born, So was the Lokust. When happiness and pride was born, so was the Sparrow. No one is sure which came first, or which one is best. Some tried to mix both, and failed miserably.

If you are a Lokust, you believe that knowledge is key to success. Gut feelings are key, as major scientific events often are products of sheer guts, will power and theory. Lokusts believe that there is something out there, but choose to not acknowledge it, or even hate it. Why? Mainly because if it can't be rationalized, why bother with it. If it is unknown, then its probably not worth it. In the end, one would associate Lokusts with sinners and athiests. No one knows why, it just depends on the stereotypes of the time.

If you are a Sparrow, then you are an person who needs instant gratification and contant motion in your life. How people feel about you, and the relationships you hold are key to winning at life. Material possessions make up the person you are, you are defined by the money you have. Mainly because you can't be defined any other way. Sparrow's are very prideful beings. If you manage to "bring one down a notch" the consequences can, and most likely will be severe. Sparrows have great knowledge of the world, and how things work, but don't use it, for they fear of being outcasted, and looked down upon. Sparrows are more often influenced by peer pressure.
Most Sparrows are athletes, lawyers, and politicians.

Both the Lokusts and Sparrows are constantly at war. Its not a bloody battle, but it is war nonetheless. Even though they hate each other, they need each other to exist. They give one another purpose and meaning. its up to you to decide whether or not you are a Lokust or a Sparrow. It is also up to you to decide what you think is evil or good. So, ask yourself one question, are you a Lokust, or a Sparrow? think about it.....

The Order of The Lokust

The belief in The Lokust is not a Blind one. You make the Lokust. You only Believe what you feel possible. Thats it. You do not donate money. There is no church. The Lokust is just a physical manefestation of your Insanity, your anger, your hate, your fear. It is the belief of the order, that all ailments, both physical, mental, and spiritual, are products of the mind. So, in theory, if you master you mind, you master life. You control your pain and suffering. You are the master of your happiness.

So, in the light of ones insanity or sanity, if thats what you want, The Order of the Lokust was started. Created in the mind of a young teen, In Connecticut, in March of 2003, by Stan Weaver. This is an alias, of course, a pen-name actually. Weaver was an aspiring artist, and chef. his views were twisted by a childhood that was, shall we say, fucked. He seemed to believe that his insanity fueled him. And, if a science fiction writer could make up a religion, why the hell can't he?

He could, and he did. It started off small. Like a band starting out in a garage. With only a few of his select friends. What will come of The Order of the Lokust? No one is certain. All that can be said for the cult, is that it needs a Good Book. So, now starts the first draft of The First Book of The Lokust......Being Immortalized on paper, well, this blog...hehe

The Lokust Saves us all....

This shall be my first entry of what i hope to be many, documenting the rise and fall of The Lokust.
What is The Lokust? The Lokust is me, and I am the Lokust. I am insane. you can laugh, but I take pride in this.
The first thing you should know is that I am an Insomniac. I only sleep when I have to, and i hate it. So, during one of my Insomnia spells, I looked deep within myself. An inside I saw a Locust. My so-called "inner animal" was a fucking BUG!! I soon learned that it was sooooo much more than that. My insanity, had a newfound physical manifestation, a plague if you will.
So, the birth of The Lokust, started a new dawn. I hate religion. I despise it. But, I believe in Knowledge, and Myself. I am alone. I have always been. And I always will. Is it not perfect to Worship myself?
True, this is a fucked up spawn of Laveyanism. But I like it, and it keeps my insanity at bay.
Thats a brief description of The Lokust. When I come up with the whole "religious" factor to it, I'll post it. Until then....
